Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten Teacher

Ms. Nilda Sandoval-Herndon

I joined Seeley School 18 years ago after teaching two years at Fremont Primary. I am working my dream job teaching kindergarten. It is rewarding to see that at the end of the year the progress students have made. I graduated from Kent State, National University and received my multiple subject teaching credential from San Diego State University. I am a mother of three girls, who have all attended Seeley School.  On a personal note, I have also become a licensed Zumba Instructor. I teach ZumbaKids during P.E. and in our after school program. I have learned throughout the years how important it is to have a balance in your life. Exercise is important for the mind and body. What I look forward to most is for my students to come back and share their success stories as they become adults. I feel fortunate to be in a profession that values education and I hope that I have made a positive impact on their learning.

Ms. Drysdale

Although Ms. Drysdale has been teaching at Seeley school for a short time, the children appreciate all that she does at the school. Starting her career with second-grade students she was a great success!  Ms. Drysdale then used her skills to guide and mold our 17-18 kindergarten students! She will now be returning to second grade to guide them through this school year. These young Seeley Sun's have nothing but great things to say about Ms. Drysdale.

Miss Mayoral

Since 1999, it has been my privilege to be an educator at Seeley Elementary School.  I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree from San Diego State University.  My dear mother instilled a love of reading in me, while raising me in the Imperial Valley.  Hence, school and learning have always been an important part of my life. As an educator, I am passionate about inculcating a love of learning in my students, as well. Being a native Spanish speaker and the first to graduate from college in my family, I hope to inspire many of my students who come from similar backgrounds. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy traveling to different countries and participating in volunteer work for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
